The C2M-CP sits in Monitor Audio’s Tier 2 Creator Series range, above the simpler Tier 1 models and below the more advanced Tier 3 designs. It uses a 7-inch RST II mid-bass driver, giving it more refinement and control than the C1M while keeping the same medium 212mm cut-out. This makes it a strong choice for rooms that need better performance without moving to a larger ceiling speaker, including bedrooms, studies, media rooms and shared spaces where discreet sound still needs clarity and control every day at home.
Controlled Performance
The CP suffix stands for Controlled Performance, meaning this version adds a sealed back box behind the speaker. This gives the drivers a defined air space instead of relying on the ceiling cavity, helping the C2M-CP behave more consistently across different ceiling constructions. The enclosure also reduces rear sound output by around 30dB, helping limit transfer into rooms above. That makes it useful for bedrooms, apartments, media rooms and shared spaces where better ceiling sound and improved isolation both matter during daily listening and home cinema use.
