The 2M Bronze uses a Nude Fine Line stylus. This is a high-precision design with a slender profile that more accurately tracks subtle fluctuations in the record groove. Its large contract area with the groove wall reduces wear and distortion, making it more suitable for critical listening. This stylus profile also maintains consistent performance across the entire record, especially in the inner grooves where distortion typically increases.
At the core of the entire 2M series is an advanced moving magnet engine that incorporates Ortofon’s Split Pole Pin technology—a design originally developed to reduce magnetic losses and achieve a flatter frequency response, much like a moving coil cartridge. In the Bronze, this is taken further with silver-plated copper wire, which helps extend high-frequency response and enhances overall detail retrieval, subtle dynamics, and complex music passages.
The cartridge body is made from a specialised Lexan DMX Piano Black, a revolutionary material which ensures high rigidity while eliminating unwanted resonances.
