Audio Technica AT-VM740xML Dual Moving Magnet Stereo Cartridge

The Audio Technica AT-VM740xML is built for listeners who want detail and accuracy from their stereo vinyl playback. It uses a nude microlinear stylus, shaped to follow the groove with far more precision than an elliptical tip. That means reduced inner groove distortion, extended high-frequency response, and a noticeably more refined sound across the board.

Compared to the AT-VM530xEN, the 740xML takes a clear step up in performance and materials. The 530 offers excellent tracking with its nude elliptical stylus and polymer body, but the 740 adds a die-cast aluminium housing to further reduce resonance and improve signal clarity. It also benefits from the same VMx coil design and PCUHD wire for efficient signal transmission. With the same threaded mounting and interchangeable stylus system, it's just as flexible to install and upgrade, but it's designed to satisfy more demanding listening setups.
