The product price includes 5 years' warranty and 30 day money back guarantee.

However, the AV.com extended warranty scheme provides an enhanced service, and is designed to offer a higher level of protection than many 'free' warranties offered by some retailers and manufacturers.

The highlights of this enhanced warranty service are:

  • Warranty is extended to 10 years from the date of delivery.
  • Our Money Back guarantee is extended from 30 days to 180 days (terms apply after 30 days)
  • Collection and delivery costs are included for the first 2 years in the event of an item becoming faulty
  • Claim 50% cash back on the cost of the policy after 10 years if it has not been used!
  • Warranty is transferable if the item is re-sold
  • Loan or replacement equipment will be provided if the product isn't repaired within 30 days
  • If an item can not be repaired, a similar alternative product or cash discount (as defined in this policy) will be offered

The PB4000 Subwoofer is a powerful, high-end reference subwoofer for home listening. Its 13.5" high-excursion SVS driver lets its frequency response extend as low as 18 Hz, and delivering higher output levels than usually seen from subwoofers of this size. The PB4000's amplifier provides 1200 watts of RMS power from a Sledge STA-1200D DSP amplifier with a MOSFET output stage. The PB4000 features a powerful 13.5-inch high-excursion SVS driver that offers incredible output power for its size, and deep low-frequency extension. Its aluminium vented cone provides efficient movement whilst remaining sturdy, ensuring excellent transient response. The power of a dual ferrite magnet motor drives the cone, allowing this subwoofer's frequency response to surpass the limits of human hearing, for great clarity and power. A cabinet with a triple-ported front helps extend its frequency response to an incredibly low 16 Hz.

This subwoofer receives power from the Sledge STA-1200D amplifier to really get the most of your driver. Class D efficiency combined with a discrete MOSFET output stage, your sound is capable of reaching high sound pressure levels precisely and cleanly. DSP from Analog Devices add options for advanced room tuning, optimising frequency response, and other control options to achieve the very best sound quality you can. The addition of Active Power Factor Correction and ground loop isolation help further improve the transparency of its sound. Conditioning power, protecting against surges and removing electrical noise or fluctuating voltage reduces noise floor to an absolute minimum. The addition of three port tuning modes helps you further customise for balanced, accurate sound.
