The Yamaha RX-A2A Aventage 7.2 Channel AV Receiver is a mid-range receiver in Yamaha's Aventage range. All six of the Aventage AVRs boast studio-grade sonic and video enhancement cased in a glossy black frame. As a mid-range model, the RX-A2A satisfies standard home cinema configurations with 100 Watts of power (8 ohms, 2 ch. driven) and anti-resonance technology for resistance to electrical interference.


The RX-A2A is not only more affordable than the top-of-the-range RX-A6A and RX-A8A models, but features a range of surround sound and video support from Dolby, and DTS too. The XR-A2A is compatible with a wireless rear speaker for extra dimension in your speaker setup and works with the MusicCast app for controlling your AVR and multi-room streaming with zone 2.

Anti-Resonance Technology (A.R.T.) helps make the range of Aventage AVRs spectacularly stable for better sonic quality. A fifth leg in the centre of its base supports the XR-A2A unit and dampens external vibration. The unyielding chassis alongside general anti-vibration enhancements further protect your sound from any unwanted rattle.

Get Set and Go

On your marks, get set up, go! Utilising the AV setup guide app takes away any confusion while installing your new Yamaha RX-A2A. The app is designed to guide you through connectivity, cables and setting configuration so you can start using your AVR as soon as possible. An in-depth user manual, available to access and read online, offers an alternative source of information and guidance.

Multi-room Magic

MusicCast offers a range of convenient features to the RZ-A2A. The MusicCast app allows you to control your AVR, its multiple streaming platforms, and connections in one clever and functional application. Furthermore, the RX-A2A is compatible with the MusicCast 50 or MusicCast 20 wireless streaming rear speakers for additional sound dimension in any home cinema configuration.

Glorious Gaming

With a future firmware update, your RX-A2A can be upgraded to include auto-low-latency-mode (ALLM), variable-refresh-rate (VRR), quick frame transport (QFT), and quick media switching (QMS). These modern gaming essentials will contribute to heightened responsiveness, load speed, and smoother transitions once installed.

The RX-A2A is embedded with Yamaha’s own CINEMA DPS HD3 technology. This offers 17 programmed sound-field effects with three-dimensional effects suited to different content. Measured and Controlled Sound

With this model of Yamaha’s Aventage range, YPAO is included with the multi-point measurement and reflected sound control functions. This allows you to measure the acoustics of your room and let Yamaha’s calibration technology correct early reflections.

SCENE

Scene buttons on your Aventage AVR are for saving your favourite channel/input/output settings as pre-sets for faster access. Once pre-sets are saved, they can be selected by simply selecting the appropriate SCENE button either on your remote control or on the AVR unit itself.

Next-Gen eARC

Enhanced Audio Return Channel (eARC) upgrades upon its predecessor, ARC. This feature helps to enhance the 4K content streamed via HDMI 2.1 from Yamaha AVRs. eARC supports multichannel formats from Dolby and DTS to experience sound as it should be.
