The JBL MA710 provides the amplification, processing and connectivity at the heart of this package. Although configured for 5.1 playback here, the receiver supports up to 7.2 channels and delivers 110W RMS into eight ohms with two channels driven. Dolby Atmos and DTS:X decoding provide support for immersive audio formats, while Pure Direct mode offers a simplified signal path for music listening.
Six HDMI inputs provide connectivity for modern source equipment, including three HDMI 2.1 inputs supporting video up to 8K/60Hz and 4K/120Hz. HDR10+ and Dolby Vision are supported, alongside gaming features such as Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode. HDMI eARC also simplifies audio connectivity with a compatible television.
Wireless music playback is supported through Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Apple AirPlay 2 and Chromecast providing flexible streaming options. JBL EZ Set EQ helps optimise playback for the listening environment, while digital optical, coaxial and analogue RCA connections, including a moving-magnet phono input, accommodate a variety of audio sources.
The Q Acoustics Q 5040 compact floorstanding speakers handle the front left and right channels. Each speaker combines twin 125mm C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass drivers with a 25mm high-frequency driver. The C3 cone profile is designed to improve dispersion and reduce distortion, supporting controlled bass and detailed midrange reproduction for films and music.
The Q 5040 uses a rear-ported bass-reflex enclosure with Point-to-Point (P2P) internal bracing to help minimise unwanted cabinet vibration. Its mechanically isolated, hermetically sealed tweeter reduces interference from the mid/bass drivers, while Helmholtz Pressure Equalisers (HPE) help control internal cabinet pressure and resonance. The compact floorstanding format provides a substantial front soundstage without requiring separate speaker stands.
The Q Acoustics Q 5090 provides the dedicated centre channel, helping anchor dialogue and centrally positioned soundtrack effects to the screen. Its horizontal cabinet features twin 110mm C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass drivers flanking a 25mm high-frequency driver, sharing the core technologies of the Q 5040 front speakers.
The Q 5090 uses a mechanically isolated, hermetically sealed tweeter and a 2.1kHz crossover designed to provide a smooth transition between the drive units. Its cabinet incorporates P2P internal bracing and a rear-firing reflex port to help control resonance and support low-frequency performance. The horizontal design makes it suitable for positioning beneath a television or projection screen.
The Q Acoustics 3010c bookshelf speakers provide the surround left and right channels. Their compact cabinets offer useful positioning flexibility around the listening area, while their C3 Continuous Curved Cone technology complements the larger Q Acoustics speakers at the front of the system.
Each 3010c features a 101mm C3 Continuous Curved Cone mid/bass driver and a 22mm high-frequency driver. The mechanically isolated tweeter helps reduce interference from cabinet vibrations, while P2P internal bracing improves enclosure rigidity. With a quoted frequency response of 60Hz to 30kHz (-6dB), the 3010c provides a compact solution for surround effects and ambient soundtrack information.
The Q Acoustics Q SUB100 provides the dedicated LFE channel, adding low-frequency impact to films, games and music. Its sealed infinite-baffle enclosure incorporates a 254mm (10-inch) bass driver powered by a 250W continuous amplifier, with a peak power rating of 500W.
The Q SUB100 uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to help maintain controlled bass reproduction across different listening levels. Adjustable phase, delay and low-pass filtering allow the subwoofer to be integrated with the main speakers and listening environment. With a quoted frequency response of 32Hz to 250Hz (-6dB) and a maximum SPL of 111dB at one metre, the Q SUB100 provides dedicated low-frequency support for this 5.1 system.
