Key Features
The LEAK STEREO 130 Integrated Amp & Linton Speakers is what you need to get you started on your hi-fi journey with an amplifier and speakers, just add cables. Retaining the classic sound of the original with updated Kevlar drivers, crossover network and reworked cabinets, the Wharfedale Lintons are beautiful speakers and an enticing alternative to more modern options. Kevlar cones deliver rich bass and mid-range whilst a woven soft dome treble unit with a high flux ferrite magnet offers up smooth, airy highs. Seamless crossover results in coherent, detailed output that makes any source material sound natural and characterful.
When LEAK launched the iconic STEREO 30 in 1963, it swiftly became Britain's favourite step-up from the standard budget amplifiers of the time. Now, LEAK harnesses the latest technology to deliver an affordable integrated amplifier of the same philosophy, the STEREO 130 is fully equipped to meet the demands of modern music lovers, from vinyl records to digital streaming.

"...if you’ re looking for modern features and talented sonics wrapped in something that’s a little different, they are well worth seeking out..."
The original Linton model was well known the world over for the rich and natural sound quality it could provide, surpassing the performance of speakers at similar price points at the time. The new model retains the qualities and ethos but expands on it using proprietary technologies that only come with over 85 years of experience and delivers you impactful bass, clear midrange and expansive scale that breaths new life into your favourite music and movie soundtracks.
Woven Kevlar Cone Mounted on a rigid die-cast chassis, the woven Kevlar cone provides strong performance producing beautifully rich and detailed mid-range and bass frequencies. A 135mm midrange driver sits above this and supports a woven Kevlar cone housed within its internal enclosure. The composite Kevlar produced by Wharfedale is the ideal speaker material thanks to its lightweight rigidity that can effectively and rapidly reproduce natural sound free of colouration and distortion.
The high frequencies are produced by a woven textile soft-dome treble unit with a high flux ferrite magnet. This assures smooth, detailed high frequencies with dispersion that fills your room with rich, warm and characterful audio.
A natural and coherent musical output is assured thanks to rigorous research into the crossover and 85 years of loudspeaker design know-how. Near inaudible crossover is seamless, enabling you to enjoy sound that is placed exactly where it needs to be with open and detailed character.
The Linton's feature a classic style that has become timeless, ensuring fantastic aesthetics in any environment they are placed in. Each model in the range sports an optional custom-made matching stand. This will place the speaker at the optimal listening height for a vastly improved sound stage. The rigid metal frame negates all unwanted vibrations and resonances with added space below for storage of vinyl and other Hi-Fi accessories.
To accommodate the modern-day music enthusiast fully, much effort has been made to ensure the LEAK STEREO 130 ’s digital circuitry delivers the level of quality one might expect of a high-performance standalone D/A converter, let alone an integrated amplifier solution.
Carefully designed in line with the LEAK ethos of performance, reliability and craftsmanship, the LEAK STEREO 130 matches contemporary performance with stand-out, classic LEAK styling.
Traditional audiophiles will recognise the assured quality in the high quality, low noise turntable input of the LEAK STEREO 130. Optimised for moving magnet cartridges, the JFET based circuit offers precise RIAA equalisation in accordance with de facto industry standards for vinyl playback.
The LEAK STEREO 130 incorporates LEAK's signature DIRECT switch to bypass steps in the analogue circuitry, for the purest signal path. In addition, the signature BASS and TREBLE tone controls allow for customisation of the amplifier output signal to suit your music medium and matched electronics or loudspeakers.
Utilising the acclaimed ES9018 Sabre32 Reference chip with ESS Technology’s 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, the LEAK STEREO 130 offers ultra-low noise, high dynamic range of digital audio files with a sampling rate of up to 384kHz (PCM) and DSD256.
The LEAK STEREO 130 uses a dedicated amplifier circuit with current-feedback technology for the headphone's output. Equal in performance to standalone headphone amplifiers, beyond the price class of this complete system, the design offers high-speed output signal transition thanks to a high slew rate. The result is a dynamic, detailed and engaging performance with all manner of headphone types.
The LEAK STEREO 130's all-round performance is engaging, detailed and refined. Detail, timing and dynamics excel, regardless of source or medium. Designed for the modern-day music enthusiast with a nod to our heritage, the LEAK STEREO 130 does not discriminate when it comes to expression and enjoyment of your music reproduction.
