The Ruark Talisman-R Floorstanding Speakers are designed for listeners who want a refined floorstanding speaker that looks as considered as it sounds. Each speaker uses a 6.5-inch long-throw Ruark NS+ treated fibre woofer and a 27mm silk dome tweeter, combined through an optimised second-order crossover with premium audio components. The dual-flared bass reflex cabinet supports a typical in-room response of 40Hz-22kHz, giving music natural weight without overwhelming the room. A decoupled baffle, internal bracing, compound wadding, solid steel plinth, and supplied rubber feet or carpet spikes all help control resonance and improve stability. Talisman-R reinterprets one of Ruark’s most recognisable loudspeaker designs for today’s living spaces. Its slim cabinet and gently sloped baffle give it a more furniture-like presence than a conventional box speaker, helping it blend comfortably with modern décor. Updated finishes and styling inspired by Ruark’s 100 Series add a clean, considered look without losing the character of the original. The floorstanding format also provides the scale and cabinet volume needed for confident stereo performance, making it well suited to dedicated listening areas and shared family rooms alike.
Natural Drivers With Balanced Tuning
Ruark pairs a 6.5-inch NS+ long-throw woofer with a treated fibre cone and a 27mm silk dome tweeter. The woofer is designed to deliver controlled bass and natural midrange weight, so voices and instruments sound full without becoming heavy. The tweeter adds smooth, detailed treble that remains comfortable during longer listening sessions. An optimised crossover, built with premium film capacitors and low-loss inductors, manages the handover at 2.2kHz.
