The PL-2 is designed to work with the wall behind it, not against it. Its slim 144mm cabinet can be wall-mounted or positioned close to the wall using the optional Planar Cart, giving you more freedom in rooms where space is tight. This helps when furniture, walkways, or interior design choices limit where a traditional subwoofer can sit. You get serious low-frequency support without needing a large box in the middle of the room. It is a practical choice for compact cinema rooms, shared living spaces, and cleaner installations.
Driver System With Scale
REL combines an 8-inch FlatPiston long-throw active driver with a 10-inch FibreAlloy passive radiator to create bass with real scale. The active driver handles the main low-frequency output, while the rear passive radiator uses the wall boundary to add depth and energy into the room. This pairing helps the PL-2 sound more substantial than its slim cabinet suggests. With 550W of amplification, it can deliver film effects with weight while still supporting the texture and timing that music systems need for a more natural, connected low-end presentation.
Flexible Wireless System Matching
Built-in AirShip Direct wireless makes installation simpler by reducing the need for long signal cables across the room.
