RST II and C-CAM Driver Design
Innovation is the name of the game. The Silver 500 7G is capable of delivering a consistent sound time and time again thanks to its rejuvenated driver design. Consisting of thin, lightweight aluminium alloy cones, the benefits of the Ceramic-Coated Aluminium Magnesium (C-CAM) technology can be observed throughout the range.
Achieving low breakup, improved time response and 12dB lower THD than previous generations, RST II drivers can push longer and louder, whilst still retaining the nuance needed for either home cinema or HiFi stereo systems.
Crossover and Consistency
The one-inch C-CAM gold dome tweeter has also been integrated with the signature Uniform Dispersion (UD) Waveguide. Simple yet effective, this technology widens directivity and develops a large sweet spot, perfect for home cinemas with more than one sitting position.
The guide also lowers distortion and improves time alignment with the rest of the drivers. This creates an overall more cohesive and smoother sound, especially when the tweeter is capable of reaching a lower frequency crossover.
HiVe II Port System and New Cabinet Design
The new fluid crossover design is also supported by the rear-ported bass-reflex style HiVe II technology. The reduction in airflow turbulence is a significant contributor to the low bass, low distortion and smooth, nuanced sonic characteristics of the Silver 500 7G.
The cabinet is available in five sophisticated finishes and comes packed with eight sturdy outrigger feet, giving you the option to use rubber or spiked feet. This makes placement completely adaptable to either hard floors or carpeted home cinemas.
