The Monitor Audio C2L-CP is designed for larger in-ceiling installations where strong output, clear detail, and a more controlled fit are required. Its two-way design pairs a 9-inch RST II mid-bass driver with a 1.25-inch C-CAM tweeter, giving music, TV audio, and cinema effects a fuller and more confident presentation from above.
With 100W continuous power handling, 89dB sensitivity, and up to 120dB peak SPL, the C2L-CP is well suited to demanding living spaces, media rooms, and multi-room audio systems. The UD Waveguide II helps spread high frequencies more evenly, while HF and corner switches provide useful adjustment once installed. It is supplied with a white round grille for a clean ceiling finish, with optional square grilles available for different room layouts.

The C2L-CP sits in Monitor Audio’s Tier 2 Creator Series range, above the simpler Tier 1 models and below the higher-spec Tier 3 options. It steps up with a 9-inch RST II mid-bass driver, higher output capability, and useful room adjustment, making it a strong choice for installations that need more scale and control without moving to the top tier.
Controlled Performance
The CP suffix stands for Controlled Performance. This version includes a rigid sealed back box behind the speaker, giving the drivers a defined air space rather than relying on the ceiling cavity. This helps bass and midrange performance stay more predictable across different rooms. It also reduces sound from the rear of the cabinet by around 30dB, helping limit transfer into rooms above.
Installation Control With A Clean Finish
Quik-Link makes cable connections quicker and tidier, which is useful across larger multi-speaker projects. Tri-Grip II then secures the C2L-CP firmly into the ceiling, while the 248mm cut-out matches Monitor Audio’s large in-ceiling format. The deeper 177.5mm mounting depth should be checked before fitting, and the HF and corner switches allow final tuning once the speaker is in place.
