Exceptional Sounds

At the heart of the LS50W MKII speakers is their 12th-generation Uni-Q driver array. This KEF-exclusive setup places the 25mm tweeter in the acoustic centre of the midrange cone, creating an immersive, room-wide sound that is elevated further by the powerful 5.25-inch driver. To ensure optimal sound clarity, Metamaterial Absorption Technology (MAT) absorbs the rear wave of the tweeter. This extinguishes 99% of any unwanted sound reflections, resulting in a world-class high-frequency response.

Robust Audio

The LS50W MKIIs are fitted with a Music Integrity Engine, which uses Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to optimise the audio in real time. The result is a balanced, well-timed sound with excellent dispersion so you can hear every lyric in pristine quality. These active speakers also feature a combination of a 100W class A/B and a 280W class D amplifier to independently power the tweeter and mid/bass driver respectively. This bi-amplification technique allows for a more dynamic sound output across all music genres.

Smooth Wireless Listening

These adaptable speakers are also designed to cater to the modern listening habits of audiophiles. With built-in Bluetooth, you can effortlessly stream your playlists, albums and podcasts in commanding 24bit/96kHz resolution. There is even full support for Master Quality Authenticated (MQA) and Direct Stream Digital (DSD), so you can relish studio-quality audio. But it doesn't stop there! When using AirPlay 2, Chromecast or Roon you can stream to multiple speakers, enabling you to play music all over your house.

Effortless Connectivity and Control

As well as its wireless capabilities, the two LS50W MKII speakers can be connected using the supplied cable for 24bit/192kHz audio. The optical, coaxial, and HDMI eARC inputs will ensure smooth connectivity to all your hi-fi separates, with the subwoofer output allowing you to expand your speaker system to a 2.1 setup. Moreover, the dedicated KEF Connect app gives you complete control over your musical experience. You can easily play/pause songs, alter audio settings, and access streaming platforms such as Spotify, TIDAL, Apple Music, and Qobuz.
