The main advantage of the 98dB version of Devialet’s Phantom II is its power capabilities. A step up from the 95dB version of the speaker, you still get the same magnificent sound quality, the same quick-action drivers, and the same compact dimension, but all with the addition of 400W RMS amplification. This is the extra punch you’ve been looking for. Devialet’s Heart Bass Implosion (HBI®) system, the two high-excursion woofers, move in perfect symmetry to deliver luxurious, vibration-free sound in a 360° soundstage so your music sounds expressive wherever you are in the room.

The brains and the brawn

Providing impeccable processing power since it was patented two decades ago, Devialet’s proprietary ADH® (Analogue Digital Hybrid) amplifier system pairs the high fidelity of an analogue Class A amplifier with the efficiency of four Class D digital amplifiers. These work in tandem to provide an unbeatable sound in such a compact cabinet. As a result, performance is completely optimised. Precision is maintained by SAM® (Speaker Active Matching), an algorithm which adapts the signal to the characteristics of the Phantom II drivers.

Dedicated smart control

The Devialet App has been designed to make installation and configuration simple, with an easy step-by-step guide. Once you’re set up, the power is in your hands. As well as letting you adjust volume, A/V latency, and set bass levels in Night Mode, the Devialet App is your centre for linking to other Devialet speakers and creating either stereo sound with a second Phantom or a full multiroom system with speakers around your home. The Phantom II is also Roon Ready and compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and UPnP networks, giving you a host of options for speaker integration.
