Acoustic Energy AE309 MK2 Floorstanding Speakers (Pair), Matte Black

The Acoustic Energy AE309 MK2 is a slim floorstanding loudspeaker designed for hi-fi or home cinema setups in medium to large rooms. As the more compact of the two floorstanders in the 300 MK2 Series, it gives you upgraded performance without taking over your space. By choosing this speaker, you get the newly developed paper and coconut-fibre drivers that deliver clear, natural midrange and tightly controlled bass, supported by a 29mm soft dome tweeter for extended highs. The result is an articulate sound across the full 33Hz-29kHz range, staying composed even at higher volumes.

The cabinet has also been completely reworked. It's now built from 18mm layered RSC MDF with internal damping to reduce resonance and keep your music clean and focused. A rear slot port improves bass extension while keeping airflow noise to a minimum, while the cabinet itself is available in three variations; silk-touch matte finish in black or white or the luxurious walnut veneer. Matching grilles, subtle branding, and outrigged aluminium feet are also included to make the AE309 MK2 look as refined as its predecessor.
