Enhanced Connectivity

The MR1L offers extensive support for ARC (Audio Return Channel), catering for devices without eARC (Enhanced ARC) compatibility. For devices with eARC capabilities, the MR1L detects this feature and enables its support. However, it is crucial to note that only HDMI Output number 1 on the MR1L facilitates ARC and eARC. On most television sets, only one HDMI Input supports eARC, necessitating the connection of the MR1L to this specific input. Furthermore, many TV sets require the explicit activation of eARC within their configuration menu.

Optimal Video Format Delivery

With the MR1L, video format negotiation between two devices with diverse video capabilities is seamlessly managed. When both devices are on, the video source determines a format supported by both, which is then sent to the devices. Consequently, if both a 4k TV and a 1080p TV are turned on, they will receive a 1080p video signal, the highest resolution format they both support. This requirement also applies to other features such as HDR. However, due to incorrect status reporting by modern TVs and projectors, physical disconnection of a 1080p TV set may be necessary to get 4k video on a 4k TV set.

Advanced Audio and Video Support

The MR1L boasts 6 HDMI 2.0b video inputs that support 4K UHD HDR video formats, including eARC. The implementation of the powerful Analog Devices SHARC DSP ensures support for the latest Dolby Atmos, Dolby Surround, DTS, DTS:X, DTS Neural X, and other popular modes. Additionally, the MR1L features the most advanced version of the EMO-Q Automatic Room Correction System. This system now showcases a visual interface with graphs of both the measured and corrected room response, enabling individual channel testing and adjustment.
