Key Features
The Audeze Maxwell 2 Gaming Headset is built for gamers who value precision audio and long-session comfort. At the heart of Maxwell 2 are 8th-generation 90mm planar drivers paired with patent-pending SLAM technology. This combination improves spatial accuracy while adding a firmer low-end response, helping you place footsteps effects and environmental cues more confidently. It is especially useful in competitive play where timing and positioning matter. Connectivity has also been expanded.

Maxwell 2 uses new 8th-generation 90mm planar drivers combined with Audeze SLAM technology to improve how sound is placed around you. This results in more accurate left to right and front to back positioning, which is key for tracking movement in fast-paced games.
Bass response is firmer and more controlled, adding impact without masking detail. We know how frustrating it is when effects blur together during intense moments, so this tuning focuses on clarity first while still delivering weight where it counts.
Switching between platforms is simple thanks to Bluetooth 5.3 with support for LE Audio and LDAC. This allows higher quality wireless playback on compatible devices and more efficient power use. For gaming, the upgraded USB-C wireless dongle delivers ultra-low latency and improved stability, helping audio stay locked to on-screen action. You can also run USB or AUX audio at the same time as Bluetooth, which is handy if you want to keep a phone connected for calls or chat while playing.
Communication has been refined with revamped microphone processing that doubles the bandwidth of the original Maxwell. FILTER AI noise suppression now uses multiple microphones to better identify and reduce background noise at the press of a button.
This helps keep your voice clear during team chat or streaming without constant adjustment. Improved sidetone fidelity also makes your own voice sound more natural in the headset, with a much lower noise floor that reduces fatigue over long sessions.
Comfort updates were driven directly by community feedback. The new suspension strap is wider more supple and includes ventilation holes to improve airflow during long sessions. Magnetically attached earpads make removal quick and increase internal space to suit a wider range of ear shapes.
The magnetic system also supports easy replacement and future options. Customisable earcup covers can be swapped or printed in different formats, giving you more control over how your headset looks and feels over time.
