The TEAC PE-505 offers a platform for vinyl enthusiasts with a large and diverse collection of records. Easily integrated with either balanced MC or unbalanced MM / MC connections, this dual mono phono preamplifier propels audio with the goal of faithfully reproducing the original recording, achieving an impressive level of signal accuracy.
The TEAC PE-505 is highly tuneable to a range of turntables and cartridges, with settable load-capacity when using MM or load-resistance for MC setups, with the convenient Measure feature displaying the MC impedance on the illuminated display so you’ll know the best setting for your own unique system.
To ensure that the phono signal remains as faithful as possible to the original recording, with the ability to pick out nuanced detail, the TEAC PE-505 employs fully-balanced circuitry throughout for improved quality. Even conventional unbalanced signals are converted through differential processing for optimised audio equalisation, meaning that you can be sure of high-level reproduction no matter how you’re connecting your vinyl.
From the switchable low frequency subsonic filter all the way down to its vibration dampening pinpoint foot design, special attention has been paid to audio quality. TEAC have implemented a NF-type amplifier circuit design to ensure the signal is carried with high precision, achieving a negligible RIAA EQ deviation less than ±0.05dB. In-fact, the PE-505 is fully kitted with the means to keep unnecessary noise to a minimum, boasting a S/N ratio of 106Db (MM / RCA) and 86db (MC / XLR).
