Traditional cleaning methods for your vinyl all share one common factor, you have to clean the records whilst they're at rest. A tiresome process as this reduces your time to enjoy your favourite music, so Sweep-IT S2 has gone the other way and lets you enjoy your records at the same time they are being cleaned!
Constructed with durable aluminium, Sweep-IT can continue to clean your vinyl for years to come. Cleverly designed, the S2 Record Broom features a heavyweight base stand with a uni-pivot arm which stands firmly on your turntable with easy mounting to clean the groove of your vinyl effectively.
Along with a height-adjustable mount, heavyweight stand and uni-pivot design, the Sweep-IT S2 is also height adjustable within a range of about one centimetre. The position can be locked with the set screw on the base. Using this mechanism, you can modify the height of the record broom arm to achieve horizontal alignment with the platter. This accurate alignment ensures a suitable tracking force of around six grams.
The distance between the neodymium magnet – based in the top part of the cylinder – and the counterweight has been carefully chosen to ensure a specific magnetic stabilisation force. As the aluminium of the brush arm is paramagnetic, it acts like an additional space between the neodymium magnet and the counterweight.
Where traditional brushes move towards the middle of the platter, Sweep-IT S2 uses a highly-efficient neodymium magnet to stabilise the record broom, effectively preventing "skating".
