The 2M Mono features an R 18µm Nude Spherical diamond tip specifically designed for playing mono microgroove LP vinyl records. To ensure the delicate signal is unaffected by outside interference, the Hopelex cartridge body is rigid, diminishing the effects of resonance. The 2M Mono also utilises a strapped output to generate a consistent signal from both sets of pole pins. This innovation removes the necessity for mono-specific equipment, facilitating genuine mono reproduction on any stereo playback system. This design also makes this cartridge compatible with the Ortofon 2M 78, meaning you can quickly and easily interchange your stylus and expand the versatility of your vinyl setup.
