Ortofon 2M 78 Verso MM Cartridge

The Ortofon 2M 78 Verso is a high-performance MM cartridge with a stylus tip specifically designed for 78 RPM shellac records. The Verso model comes with pre-installed screws for bottom-mount headshells where top-screwing is not possible. This design prioritises convenience, with weight and dimensions that are compatible with the majority of modern-day headshells and tonearms.

The stylus has a precision-machined Spherical diamond tip, mounted on a robust cantilever. This caters to the unique contours of classic 78 RPM shellac records which necessitate a larger stylus profile. Through the use of a strapped output, the 2M 78 Verso is also able to yield a steady signal from each set of pole pins. This solution negates the need for mono-specific equipment, thus allowing for real mono reproduction on a wider variety of stereo playback systems.
