The Mission 778x Integrated Amplifier with QX-2 MKII Speakers, Black Bundle offers all the best audio features you need to get the most out of your HiFi separates. The Mission 778x Integrated Amplifier supplies a wide range of connectivity options that deliver refined, precise audio quality. Offering both coaxial and optical inputs, the 778x enables direct connectivity to digital devices, as well as three studio-grade RCA inputs, including a moving magnet (MM) phono input for turntables, enabling exceptional analogue connectivity. Bluetooth also lets you stream your favourite music wirelessly from your smart devices in aptX and AAC codecs.
The 778x provides a Class-AB power amplifier design that houses an efficient 200VA toroidal transformer and delivers a robust sound when demanded. As well as an excellent preamp section to optimise your favourite music, a hi-res onboard DAC enhances your digital audio via the ES9018K2M chipset and offers a sampling rate of up to 384kHz (PCM) and DSD256. The expertly designed rotary controls also enable you to control the volume and select a source, with the stunning LEDs showing the current settings.
The Mission QX-2 MkII Bookshelf Speakers are the second generation of mid-range speakers in the QX series. They are the larger and more powerful counterparts to the Mission QX-1 MkII Bookshelf speakers. Just like the QX-1s, the QX-2s feature inverted driver geometry to balance the high, mid, and low frequencies en route to your ears. Sophisticated crossover network circuitry further aids balance and time alignment so that frequencies are filtered and partially equalised.

Integrated Amplifier
The Mission 778x offers a Class-AB design so you can enjoy effective sound quality with low distortion levels. The 778x provides a low-noise 200VA toroidal transformer and a 2x15000uF reservoir capacity so you can enjoy a two-channel power output of up to 65W each. The preamp section immerses you in the sound with its low THD rating and a frequency response of 20Hz-20kHz, so all your favourite music genres are catered for. The 778x is even harnessed with a high-quality headphone amplifier that generates high-speed output signal transition so you can enjoy amazing audio quality.
High Performing DAC and Inputs
Connect all of your digital devices thanks to the USB, Coaxial, and dual Optical inputs, with up to three RCA inputs enabling excellent pairing with your analogue devices such as your turntable. The 778x provides Bluetooth 5.0, so you can stream all your favourite playlists on Spotify and Apple Music, straight from your smart devices. The built-in DAC gifts you with immersive audio thanks to the ES9018K2M chipset, the 32-bit HyperStream architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator. Mission QX-2 MkII Bookshelf Speakers (Pair), Black
The QX Range
Since its initial launch in 2017, the QX series has undergone an engineering makeover. Now, Mission presents the second generation of QX which comprises six passive speakers; all a step above the entry-level LX series. Consequently, the QX MkII speaker range is an ideal mid-range option for those with a slightly higher budget and looking for extra technical specs.
Design
Externally, the QX-2 MkII bookshelf speakers retain much of their predecessor's design characteristics. Their cabinets feature similar detailing with smooth corners and a comb tooth texture around both driver units. However, the MkII speakers are now available in a choice of black, white, or traditional walnut finishes for greater styling versatility. In addition, enhancements have been made to cabinet rigidity, ultimately reducing any unwanted resonance.
Tweeter
Mission has opted for a new ring dome tweeter after expressing concerns that traditional domed diaphragm tweeters facilitate the inherent flaw known as cavitation. To avoid cavitation, Mission's QX MkII ring dome tweeter attaches its voice coil partway down the textile dome. This reduces distortive effects for more impressive delivery of high frequencies – in excess of 20 kHz!
Mid-bass Driver
Mission brings an upgraded DiaDrive mid-bass driver to the QX-1 MkII bookshelf speakers where a seamless diaphragm is driven by a sub-cone and connected voice coil for controlled and efficient mid-low frequency handling. Further improvements include ventilation for reduced resonance and a strong ferrite magnet for the controlled direction of the magnetic field.
Sound with Teeth
The comb-tooth detailing around the QX-1 MKII's driver units is not merely for show; these serrations have been intricately optimised to minimise airflow interference and smooth frequency response. Indentations like these have also been incorporated into the rear reflex ports of speakers in the MKII series.
Inverted Driver Geometry
Mission has positioned their drivers using inverted driver geometry, meaning the mid-bass driver is placed above the ring dome tweeter to assist with time alignment. This is a feature which Mission has trademarked since the 1980s. It is ultimately a calculated decision which helps the high and low ends of music reach your ears in a beautiful blend.
