Grell Open Around Ear Audiophile Headphones Overview
The Grell OAE2 is designed for listeners who want open, detailed headphone sound with a more natural sense of space. Its Front-sided Sound Field Modulation places the sound field in front of the ear rather than directly from the sides, helping music feel more speaker-like and less confined. A wideband bio-cellulose transducer supports strong bass, carefully balanced mids, and clean high-frequency detail, while the angled baffle and stainless steel damping fabric help control resonance without closing in the sound.
Built for long listening sessions, the OAE2 uses a circumaural design with a 378g weight and a moderate 2.5N clamping force. The modular construction allows key parts to be replaced over time, supporting easier servicing and longer product life. Two 1.8m silver-plated OFC cables are included, with 3.5mm, 6.3mm adapter, and 4.4mm balanced connection options, giving the headphones useful flexibility across portable players, desktop systems, and dedicated headphone amplifiers.
