Key Features
The addition of a sub to a listening system can often create awesome depth and insight into frequency ranges beyond the scope that standard loudspeakers are able to offer. To achieve this feat, subwoofers usually harness the power of larger drivers, producing higher levels of energy and increasing the risk of transfer to underlying surfaces. The resulting symptoms will be familiar to many existing sub owners – reduced clarity and definition, smear in the low end, rumble and even neighbour disturbance.

With their latest addition to the Aperta product line, IsoAcoustics aim to solve these problems in one fell swoop. Crafted with an aluminium frame and no fewer than four patented isolators, the Aperta Sub decouples speaker cabinets from their supporting surfaces, removing the floor from the acoustic equation when placed below any subwoofer. This additional isolation prevents vibrations from being transferred and reflected back into the cabinet, avoiding smear to low-end frequencies and greatly improving the overall clarity and definition of the acoustic profile.
