Key Features
The Wharfedale Denton 85 Speakers celebrate the 85th anniversary of one of the brand's most successful models, introduced in 1932. This modern version maintains the traditional two-way bookshelf layout with wood veneer finishes and a Tungsten cloth grille. While it looks vintage, the performance is up to today's high standards with open and detailed quality. A Kevlar cone delivers rich bass and mid-range whilst a woven soft dome treble unit with a high flux ferrite magnet offers up smooth, sparkling highs. Beneath all the enhancements though, the Denton retains its signature warm, rich character - something unique in today's market.
Nearly New: This product may have been opened for quality control purposes, returned by a customer, refurbished, or may have non-essential parts or software missing. Otherwise, the product operates as new. This is a great opportunity to buy a fully functioning product at a discounted price, supplied with a one-year warranty.

The Denton 85s feature a woven Kevlar cone for mid/bass delivery. Wharfedale produces their own composite Kevlar material for this driver that's both lightweight and tough for rapid response, dynamism, and minimal colouration/distortion. This is secured on the stiff die-cast chassis for rich detail with resistance to unwanted vibrations.
Above the mid/bass driver is a woven textile soft-dome tweeter, responsible for the treble. This has been designed with a high-flux ferrite magnet which allows the speaker to operate with greater efficiency and precision. The result is smooth, characterful, yet detailed high-frequency reproduction that's dispersed widely throughout your room.
85 years of Wharfedale's research and innovation have been lovingly poured into the modern Denton speaker. One area where this expertise is especially evident is the crossover; this makes the blend between high, and mid/low frequencies practically seamless. You'll hear sounds more accurately positioned as a result.
